چکیده

Bonding synthetic fibres to metals improve strength, durability, and corrosion resistance is a prevalent practise in the automotive, marine, aerospace industries. Lap shear adhesion, measurement of bonding strength between composites metallic substrates, essential for structural integrity. The emergence natural fibre as sustainable alternatives makes it investigate their lap behaviour effect volume fraction on composite properties. This research investigates adhesion coir glass epoxy mild steel. Coir fibres, which are known resilience tenacity, were treated with an alkaline solution resin. Samples prepared accordance ASTM specifications, tests conducted using tensile machine. Increasing or decreased bond demonstrated by results. Due fibres’ greater rigidity, exhibited superior strength. However, under loading conditions, steel surfaces. SEM micrographs confirmed that exhibit failure while pull-out behaviour. study concludes highlighting engineering potential considering properties cost-effectiveness. It necessary further optimise fiber-matrix interface comprehend mechanical order maximise effectiveness. To assure long-term durability composite-metal joints, surface preparation, adhesive type, application procedure, environmental conditions must also be considered. At content percentage 10%, 100% higher compared composites. Conversely, at 10% approximately 75% than values obtained 40% fibres. mechanisms observed delamination fracture area loading. reduces Factors such limited space matrix, tension concentrations, contribute weakened bonds. Glass have better rigidity affecting load transfer adhesion. Interfacial crucial, maintaining becomes more difficult fractions, resulting

Punching shear strength of steel fibre reinforced concrete slabs

The ultimate strength of reinforced concrete slabs is frequently governed by the punching shear capacity, which may be increased with addition of traditional fitments such as reinforcing steel, headed studs or shear heads. In addition to these traditional methods of strengthening against punching, steel fibre reinforcement has proved to be an effective and viable alternative. The addition of fi...

Investigation in to Wear behavior of coir Fiber Reinforced Epoxy Composites with the Taguchi Method

In present investigation the wear behavior of treated and untreated coir dust filled epoxy resin matrix composites were studied. The effect of treated and un treated coir dust concentration (10%, 20% and 30%), varying loads (10, 20 and 30N) and varying velocities (300, 400 and 500) on the abrasive wear rate of composite has been analyzed. The abrasive wear property of the composite is examined ...
